DOODH PEDHA/ MILK PEDHA

The aura is in festive mood. How about some sweets?? Here you go... An easy to make, all time favorite milk pedha!! It's similar to paal kova of Tamil nadu..(actually the same:) !). With Christmas and New Year near, this sweet is sure to satisfy your festive taste buds...
The usual method of making this requires volumes of milk over a burning stove with continuous stirring followed by further stirring followed by more stirring and at the end you will be left with an empty gas cylinder :):) If you have condensed milk and milk powder readily at home, your pedha is done in no time (i mean in less time!).
Uttar Pradesh is said to be the origin state of this wonderful sweet. This sweet has its special place in every festival and sometimes no festival is needed for relishing this cute delicacy. Its regularly seen on decorated rakhi thalis (on Rakshabandhan, an Indian festival for brothers and sisters). On rakshabandhan, sisters tie rakhi for their brothers and give them sweets and brothers give their sisters gifts and money. Now for the recipe....
